The Bess pictured below is a copy of the second most common British musket carried during the Revolution.

Many Americans carried these as well when captured from the British.

 

Everything is correct on this gun down to the mate marks and internal markings. The wood is English walnut with an

oil finish. Even the bayonet stud is dovetailed and brazed as were the originals. This made them much stronger

when actually using a bayonet on an enemy.

 Regiment and company markings can be engraved to the owner's specifications at additional cost.

This one is marked as being gun number 12, 4th company, 1st Battalion of the 29th Regiment.

This regiment was in America from before the start of the Revolution. They were the regiment at the massacre
