The rifle shown has been my personal rifle. I have plans for a new one for myself.
It has a 44" by .54 caliber wrought iron barrel and breech plug that I forged from a flat bar which entails
about 100 man hours to complete. The lock is a Chamber's early Ketland lock. All of the brass parts were cast in my shop.
I slightly aged it including the addition of a wearplate on the bottom of the forend. It also has sterling silver wire accents.
This gun has a great patina and wear on it now.
This rifle was styled after one made in the James River Basin area. The original is engraved on the sideplate
with the name 'Johanes Faber' which was probably the owner. A fowler by the same hand survives but
has a different illegible name engraved on it's sideplate.
It weighs 9 lbs and the pull is 14".
